EYEBALLERS Strengthens Ownership Team – Axel "Acke-47" Fridén, Alexander Apostolidis, and Hannes "perrababy" Hedlund Step In as Co-Owners
There’s a fresh breeze of positive change at EYEBALLERS. As part of a restructuring of the club’s ownership, Axel "Acke-47" Fridén, Alexander Apostolidis, and Hannes "perrababy" Hedlund are joining as new co-owners. All three have previously been deeply involved with the organization and are now taking on even greater responsibility in EYEBALLERS’ journey toward the future.
Axel Fridén takes on the role of CEO, Alexander Apostolidis will lead partnerships, and Hannes Hedlund becomes head of community. With this shift, the club gains three owners who are not only passionate about EYEBALLERS but also about Swedish esports as a whole. In addition, long-time team sponsor and sausage manufacturer Härryda Karlsson joins the ownership group.
“We’ve always talked about EYEBALLERS as ‘Sweden’s team’ – and with this crew behind the scenes, we feel more ready than ever to live up to that vision,” says Jesper "JW" Wecksell, co-owner and one of the club’s founders.
As part of the change, Black Molly Entertainment (BME) and Robin "flusha" Rönnquist are stepping down from their ownership roles. BME is doing so to avoid a potential conflict of interest as the company plans to organize its own CS2 tournaments moving forward. Robin, meanwhile, has chosen to pursue new challenges in his career.
“We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to both BME and Robin for their invaluable contributions to the relaunch and development of EYEBALLERS. Without their passion and dedication, the club wouldn’t be where it is today,” adds Wecksell.
The EYEBALLERS ownership group now consists of a strong and diverse team with expertise in both esports and business: Jesper Wecksell, Daniel Antell, Mikael Falgard, Adrian Kempe, Victor Leksell – along with the new co-owners Axel Fridén, Alexander Apostolidis, Hannes Hedlund, and Härryda Karlsson.
Together, they form a powerful unit fully focused on driving the club’s growth – with the goal of establishing EYEBALLERS as Sweden’s definitive esports organization.
